The video (no sound) shows how DE Technology is applied in turf: The delivery apparatus and DES (that white box) is pulled across the treatment area by a tractor or utility cart. High efficiency batteries supply the source energy for the DES. Knife electrodes, specially designed to minimize surface disruption, slice the turf as the apparatus moves. The energy profile generated by the DES is applied to the spaced electrodes when they're fully inserted. The concentrated energy impacts the target organisms that reside in the soil and roots between the electrodes. The energy is constrained between the electrodes and will not dissipate or radiate from the treatment area. The area can be rolled or mowed immediately following the treatment. Play can typically resume right away. The apparatus has a swath of 48" and is pulled at roughly 2mph. On average, a 7500sqft green can be treated in 30 Min. The batteries are capable of approximately 4 hours of treatment time, enough to cover 5 to 6 greens.
Direct|Turf™ is the first full-scale deployment of Lisi Global's patented Directed Energy technology that uses the latest advancements in electronic pulse generation and control technology to produce a tailored energy profile that safely and effectively targets pests in the root zone. Direct|Turf™ application delivers the treatment below the playing surface, concentrating a tailored energy profile specific to the target pest, whether in the root or in the surrounding soil.

The Direct|Turf™ application is simple, fast, and chemical free. Similar to your fumigant applicator, Direct|Turf™ is applied by trained personnel but unlike chemistry, it requires no buffer zones or re-entry delays. Play can resume immediately following treatment. The best part is, pests can’t develop resistance!
The Direct|Turf™ application is similar to deep slice aeration, designed to keep surface disruption to a minimum.

Post treatment rolling further minimizes disruption, the green is ready for play. Direct|Turf application is fast, with very little disruption to the playing surface. A few passes with the roller ensures the grooves are closed. |
